Understanding TDS Compliance on Property Purchase Above ₹50 Lakhs

When buying immovable property worth ₹50 Lakhs or more, the buyer must deduct 1% TDS from the seller's payout and submit it to the government using Form 26QB. Failing to file this within 30 days of the transaction attracts heavy penalty fees and interest.
